HISCI Promotes Meredith S. Young to Executive Director
WASHINGTON DC (September 15, 2009) HISCI, Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute, the foremost organization addressing inefficiencies in the healthcare supply chain, would like to announce the promotion of Meredith S. Young to Executive Director.
Ms. Young brings substantial experience, industry knowledge and familiarity with the critical issues affecting the healthcare supply chain. Ms. Young was most recently Operations Manager for HISCI and the Health Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA), the advocacy wing for the industry. In the short term, she will focus on addressing important industry issues such as vendor credentialing and rostering. In addition, Ms. Young will continue to develop membership and benefits, collaborate with the GPO community to forge effective partnerships, and increase HISCI's presence as the premier supplier organization for information, networking and education.
Curtis Rooney, President of HIGPA and former HISCI Executive Director, will remain on the HISCI Board of Directors and continue to serve as an integral link between HIGPA and HISCI.
